Mokesa AG | Privacy statement

Since our founding in 1977, we have been experts in the area of engineering and refractory lining for boilers. Our products are the result of intensive research and development and increase the productivity of waste incineration plants, biomass plants, fluidised bed furnaces, and other high temperature furnaces at many locations throughout Europe.

The protection of the privacy of the users of our website is an important concern for us. The contents may be used without registration. However, we use industry-standard technologies to measure and improve the performance of our website and collect data for this purpose. In some cases we work together with external service providers. Insofar as we (or third parties on our behalf) collect, process and store personal data, we comply with the requirements of the Swiss Data Protection Act and, where applicable, the EU-GDPR. This privacy policy explains how we do this.

1.   What personal data do we collect?

Our website may also be used without disclosing personal data. On the other hand, the server of our website temporarily stores information about user access. Information includes the IP address, the date and time of access, the name and URL of the accessed file, the website from which access is made (referrer URL), the browser used, the operating system of the computer used and the name of the user’s access provider. We use this data for the following reasons:

  • Ensuring a connection can be established smoothly
  • Comfortable use of the website
  • Evaluation of system security and stability
  • Other administrative purposes

1.2  Mailings
If you are on our mailing list, we will use your e-mail address to send you news about our company. You can unsubscribe at any time using the unsubscribe link in our mailings or by sending an e-mail to newsletter@mokesa.ch). This data processing is based on our legitimate interest in informing you about developments in our company and our services.

1.3  Use of the contact form
The contact form on our website offers you the possibility to contact us. To use the contact form, it is necessary to enter your name and e-mail address. Your consent forms the basis of this data processing.

2.  How do we use cookies on our website?
We use cookies on our website to optimise our offer. These are text files that are stored on your computer and enable the analysis of the use of our website. You can configure your browser so that no cookies are stored on your computer or so that a message always appears before a cookie is installed. A complete deactivation of cookies can lead to the website not functioning or not functioning completely. The data processed by cookies is necessary for the purposes mentioned above to protect our legitimate interests.

3.  How do we use web analysis tools and web fonts?
The measures listed below ensure that our website is designed to meet your needs and is continuously optimised.  These measures allow us to statistically record and evaluate the use of our website and to present our contents in a uniform and appealing manner. This is a legitimate interest on our part.

We use Google Fonts from Google Inc. (Google) to display our content correctly and in a graphically appealing manner. Google Fonts is an interactive font directory that Google provides for free use. Google Fonts enables us to use fonts on our own website that we do not have to upload to our own server. Data is transmitted to the Google servers via this external access. In this way, Google also recognizes that you or your IP address are visiting our website. All Google fonts are automatically optimized for the web, which saves data volume and is an advantage when using mobile devices. Google Fonts is therefore an important component to keep the quality of our website high.

We also use Google Analytics, a web analysis service from Google. Google Analytics uses cookies to analyse how you use the website. The information generated by the cookie about your use of the website is usually transferred to a Google server in the USA and stored there. We only use Google Analytics with activated IP anonymisation. This means that your IP address in Switzerland, the European Union or the European Economic Area will be shortened. Only in exceptional cases is the full IP address transferred to a Google server in the USA and shortened there. Google will use this information on our behalf to evaluate your use of the website, to report on the activities of users on the website, and to provide us with further services related to the use of the website and the Internet. Google may also transfer this information to third parties if required by law or if third parties process this data on behalf of Google. The IP address transmitted by your browser is not combined with other data from Google. You can object to the collection of data by Google Analytics with effect for the future by installing a deactivation add-on (http://tools.google.com/dlpage/gaoptout?hl=de) for your browser. Besides the possibility to install the deactivation add-on, there is another alternative to prevent the collection of data by Google Analytics. It is particularly interesting for users of mobile devices. Please click on this link to deactivate Google Analytics. This will install a so-called opt-out cookie, which prevents the tracking of data on the website. The function remains in effect until the opt-out cookie is deleted. If the opt-out cookie has been deleted, it is sufficient to access the link again.

4.  How do we use Google Maps?

Based on our interest in providing you with references to our locations, we use the Google Maps map service on the online platform. Using these Google Maps functions requires storage of your IP address. This is usually transferred to a Google server in the USA and stored there. We have no control over this data transmission. The use of Google Maps is in the interest of an attractive presentation of the online platform and easy retrieval of the locations we have indicated on the online platform.

5.  Do we forward your data to third parties?

We will only forward your personal data to third parties if you expressly agree, if there is a legal obligation or permission to do so, if forwarding data is necessary for the assertion, exercise or defence of legal claims, or if forwarding data is necessary for the processing of contractual relationships with you.

6.  How secure is your data?

We take technical and organizational measures to protect your data against manipulation, loss, destruction or unauthorized access by third parties. We use state-of-the-art encryption methods, such as SSL, via HTTPS when accessing the site.

7.  What rights do you have in relation to your data?

You have the right to information, data correction, data deletion, restriction of data processing, data transferability, revocation of your consent and objection. If you are of the opinion that the processing of your data violates data protection law, you can report this to us or to the responsible supervisory authority. You have the right to object to the processing of your data if we process them on the basis of our legitimate interests or for direct marketing purposes.

8.  How long do we store your personal data?

As a matter of principle, we store your data for as long as our business relationship with you requires it or we have a legitimate interest in its further storage. The personal data collected via the contact form will be deleted within 30 days after completion of your request. In all other cases, we will delete your personal data, with the exception of data that we must continue to store in order to comply with legal obligations.
